Vadim is a postgraduate student of the Moscow State University, and works at the Russian Academy of Science. He studies linguistics focusing on morphology, syntax and their interactions, especially on deadjectival verb typology and the theory of subjecthood. He joined the project in 2011. He has made four trips to Mali (and Burkina) beginning in 2011. He has focused on the Tomo Kan dialect spoken in Segue, and is working on a grammar and a dictionary.
